The Duncan Mercer prize is awarded by OSC to individuals of exceptional ability, achievement, and most importantly, those who have gone to greatest effort to help OSC (and its employees) with alacrity, in ways above and beyond what is expected. There is no periodicity to this prize, which can be awarded annually or when the right individual comes along, and all affiliates of OSC (not just employees) are eligible.
The last prize for outstanding achievement was awarded in 2013.
We are pleased to announce that six years later, the Duncan Mercer prize has been won by Claire Cheyne of Wildflowers & Pixels. Claire has been a loyal affiliate of OSC almost since the beginning. Her tireless effort on our website (and our research cause) has not gone unnoticed over the years.
