OSC Directors Ian and Victoria Todd are back in the field collecting data from PODs deployed from a production platform attached to a jack-up drilling rig. The PODs have been in situ for months now, and data sets collected so far are filled with porpoises. The data will further enhance research already published by Ian and Victoria on harbour porpoises foraging around offshore installations, see http://icesjms.oxfordjournals.org/content/early/2009/03/04/icesjms.fsp035.short for more information.
