OSC is pleased to announce they will be presenting at the 24th International Congress on Sound and Vibration conference in London next year. The conference, being held from 23-27th July 2017, is an opportunity for scientists from around the world to share new research and technology in the field of acoustics and vibration.

The study compared underwater sound measurements collected during piledriving activity for the construction of a nearshore windfarm in the UK to the threshold level issued by the German Federal Environment Agency (UBA). Sound levels were also analysed in relation to potential impact on harbour porpoise, the UK’s most widely distributed marine mammal, which is often observed near offshore installations (Todd et al., 2009).
