A few weeks ago, another minke whale (Balaenoptera acutorostrata) was observed swimming around an offshore production platform in the North Sea.
The footage (http://youtu.be/klIRuVtEycg) shows a solitary whale swimming slowly, spending around 15 min around the platform before moving on. This footage is the second collected this year (www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc2tUDyqC7A), which shows that these offshore installations are not just home to hungry porpoises (Phocoena phocoena), but also to much larger, non-toothed whales.
